About Us

Sandra French - Owner/Designer

With over 30 years of design experience, Sandra (or Sam as she is known by all) is a well-seasoned interior designer, having started Interior Motives with a business partner in the mid ’90s.

Her business partner has since retired but Sam’s continued desire to create beautiful & functional interiors for clients led her to continue the popular design business. With an eye for quality, an updated classic and timeless sense of style and the ability to develop client relationships, Sam guides her clients through every phase of the design process. She has the expertise to design and manage any type of project from a kitchen remodel to ground-up construction.

Mary Koeck- Designer

In 2019 Mary joined Interior Motives and has brought a fresh new perspective with on-trend ideas and creativity. Her friendly personality and ability to connect with people give her clients a great sense of confidence that they are in good hands with Mary at the helm.

Born and raised in South Lake Tahoe, CA, Mary has always been inspired by nature and the belief of surrounding yourself with beauty. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from San Francisco State University and has worked in residential design since 2013. She is strongly influenced by contemporary architecture and the fresh, clean aesthetic it conveys. Her approach to design is to have a seamless flow from the outside to inside and embrace the natural elements of the environment.
